What to Expect

  1. Comprehensive Exam & Smile Analysis
We begin with a thorough dental examination and bite evaluation, making sure your treatment will not only enhance your smile’s appearance but also support good oral health. During this visit, we’ll discuss your goals and what you like or dislike about your current smile.

  2. 3D Scanning
Using our studio’s advanced scanner, we capture a precise digital model of your teeth. This information is then used to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique needs.

  3. Custom Treatment “Roadmap”
Guided by the digital scan and your smile objectives, our team creates a detailed strategy for your orthodontic journey. You’ll have the opportunity to see a 3D simulation of your anticipated final results, giving you a preview of your future smile.

  4. Aligner Delivery & Instructions
Once your aligners are ready, we’ll go over how to wear and care for them, including any attachments needed to achieve the best possible outcome. You’ll leave our studio with several sets of trays, each designed to progressively move your teeth into alignment.

  5. Follow-Up Appointments
Every two months, you’ll return for a check-in so we can assess your progress and make any necessary adjustments. This ensures that your treatment stays on track, leading you to a beautifully straight smile in the most efficient way possible.

  • Invisalign is a modern, nearly invisible alternative to traditional metal braces for patients of all ages—including kids, teens, and adults. The treatment uses a series of removable, clear aligner trays that gently move your teeth into their proper alignment over time. Each set of trays applies targeted pressure, helping you achieve a straighter smile without the brackets and wires associated with conventional braces.

  • An Invisalign treatment begins with a consultation with one of our dentists, who will map out a customized treatment plan that illustrates the step-by-step transformation of a patient’s smile. Once a patient’s plan is approved, a set of unique dental aligners is created using a dental scanner. Each set of aligners is worn by a patient for 20 to 22 hours per day; aligners are switched every 10 days as directed by the dentist.

  • Many patients begin to see noticeable changes in as little as four weeks. However, the total treatment timeline typically ranges from 6 to 12 months, depending on the initial level of crowding or misalignment. Moving teeth too rapidly can cause damage, so a steady, controlled approach ensures both effective and safe results.

  • When properly maintained, Invisalign can offer long-lasting results. To protect your new alignment, it’s essential to follow your dentist’s post-treatment instructions, including wearing a retainer at night. Doing so ensures that your straightened smile remains in place for the long term.

  • Both braces and Invisalign can successfully straighten teeth, but the ideal choice varies depending on your specific needs. For patients (especially children and teenagers) with more severe misalignments or those who haven’t developed all their adult teeth, traditional braces might be the better option. Adults often prefer Invisalign for its nearly invisible appearance and convenience. Ultimately, the best way to determine the right treatment is by scheduling a consultation so our team can recommend the optimal approach for your unique situation.

  • It’s best to remove your Invisalign trays before eating or drinking anything other than water. Foods and beverages—especially coffee—can stain or damage the aligners. After a meal or snack, brush your teeth (or at least rinse thoroughly) before placing the trays back in your mouth to keep them clean and clear.

  • Four sets of retainers are included (and a permanent retainer if deemed necessary) with an Invisalign treatment.

  • No, Invisalign trays should be removed and placed in their case when a patient is eating or drinking; this includes things like coffee, which can additionally stain the Invisalign trays. It is advised that a patient brushes their teeth after eating/drinking and before placing the Invisalign trays back into the mouth.

  • Yes.

  • No. While you may notice some slight mobility during your Invisalign treatment, this is completely normal for any type of orthodontic procedure. Your teeth aren’t being weakened—rather, they’re shifting into better alignment. Once treatment is complete, the teeth stabilize in their new positions.
